State Licensed Drug Safety VP

Job Summary

Leading drug safety functions, the remote full-time State Licensed Drug Safety VP will manage pharmacovigilance activities, oversee external vendor operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and safety for investigational compounds.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to and lead pharmacovigilance activities for investigational products, ensuring quality and compliance
• Manage oversight of external vendor activities, including case processing and expedited safety reporting
• Develop proactive risk management strategies and provide updates on drug safety profiles to senior management

Required qualifications

• Post-graduate degree (MD, DO) or international equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 9 years in senior drug safety roles
• Experience in both clinical development and post-marketing drug safety
• Regulatory submission experience and project leadership/management experience preferred
• Completion of a US residency or ex-US equivalent
