Job Summary

Experienced in employment law, the remote Senior Counsel - Employment will provide legal guidance to startups and high-growth companies on employment compliance, executive compensation, and equity plans while developing training resources and templates for attorneys.

Key responsibilities

• Manage federal and state employment law compliance, including drafting employment agreements and conducting workplace investigations
• Design and implement executive compensation and equity incentive plans, including stock options and severance agreements
• Provide startup employment counseling, including employee classification analysis and development of HR policies

Required qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing
• 5-8 years of focused experience in employment law and executive compensation
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and knowledge-sharing with peers
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys of varying experience levels
• Strong communication skills to simplify complex legal concepts for clients
