Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder ER to review medical records and perform coding for diagnoses and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
• Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring accurate sequencing
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track productivity while achieving a 95% quality rating

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
• Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in acute care and profee
• Must possess RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS certifications
• Experience with EPIC and CAC 360 is preferred
• Knowledge of coding conventions and regulations established by relevant healthcare organizations
