Job Summary
To lead the development of a comprehensive licensing and exam management strategy, the remote State Licensed Exam Management Director will architect frameworks, manage a growing license portfolio, and ensure readiness for regulatory examinations and audits in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and design the multi-state licensing strategy, including acquisition, renewals, and compliance with regulatory changes
- Architect and maintain the exam readiness framework, leading end-to-end exam execution and post-exam processes
- Serve as the primary contact with state regulators, fostering relationships and ensuring licensing obligations are integrated across the organization
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in licensing, exam management, or compliance operations within fintech or regulated financial services
- Direct experience managing multi-state licensing portfolios related to consumer lending, loan brokering, or money transmission
- Proven track record of leading regulatory exam cycles and managing relationships with state regulators
- Deep knowledge of state licensing frameworks and NMLS processes
- Bachelor's degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred
