Job Summary

Leading state-level legislative and regulatory advocacy initiatives, the remote Manager, External Affairs will develop and implement strategies, cultivate relationships with policymakers, and represent community-based healthcare organizations and rural healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute state government affairs strategies that align with organizational objectives
  • Monitor, evaluate, and influence state legislation, regulations, and public policy developments
  • Prepare testimony, policy briefs, comment letters, and other advocacy materials
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience in state government relations, public affairs, or healthcare advocacy
  • Proven track record of influencing legislative, regulatory, or policy outcomes at the state level
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience creating policy-focused content that supports stakeholder engagement and advocacy efforts
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology and health IT initiatives is preferred
