State Licensed Family Medicine Reviewer

Job Summary

To support a growing Radiology department, a State Licensed Family Medicine Reviewer will serve as a physician match reviewer for imaging cases, engaging in peer-to-peer discussions with providers while working remotely in either a full-time or part-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Review imaging cases that do not meet medical necessity guidelines and provide clinical rationale for determinations
• Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with requesting physicians within regulatory timeframes
• Ensure compliance with utilization review guidelines and document all communications accurately

Required qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS with active clinical practice within the last 2 years preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the practice of medicine post-residency
• Current, unrestricted clinical license in the home state or required specialty
• Active Board Certification by an accredited organization
• No history of major disciplinary or legal action by a state medical board
