State Licensed Financial Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Controller - WFH.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, preparing accurate financial statements with variance analysis
• Manage all general ledger activity, ensuring GAAP compliance and overseeing accounts payable and vendor management
• Supervise accounts receivable and collections, maintain accurate inventory valuation, and manage cash flow and treasury functions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
• Experience in a hard goods, physical products, or B2B distribution business, with a strong understanding of inventory accounting
• Expert-level knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and multi-entity or multi-state tax compliance
• Proven ability to build or improve financial processes in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
