State Licensed General Counsel

Job Summary

State Licensed General Counsel seeks a full-time legal officer to build and lead the legal function, managing corporate governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and employment law.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as corporate secretary and manage Board governance and equity plan administration
• Build and own the commercial contracts function, including drafting and negotiating various agreements
• Develop and execute a comprehensive IP protection strategy and manage the company's global data privacy program

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with admission to at least one state bar
• 10-15 years of legal experience, preferably in BigLaw and in-house technology companies
• Prior experience as General Counsel or senior in-house counsel at a SaaS company
• Deep expertise in commercial contracts, data privacy, and corporate governance
• Strong executive presence with the ability to advise the CEO and Board effectively
