Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, a State Licensed Genetic Counselor will manage clinical case reviews of molecular and genetic testing, evaluate authorization requests from physician offices, and serve as an expert advisor on genetic testing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory molecular and genetic testing clinical case reviews
• Evaluate and authorize coverage requests for genetic laboratory tests based on established clinical protocols
• Provide expert advice to physicians and labs regarding the appropriate use of genetic testing

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in genetic counseling
• Board certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics
• State licensure in residence (if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Genetic Counselor
• Familiarity with pediatric, adult, and perinatal genetics and related genetic tests
