Job Summary
Providing telehealth services nationwide, the full-time State Licensed Genetic Counselor will offer independent genetic counseling to Veterans and their families, focusing on hereditary risk assessments, patient education, and genetic testing recommendations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide independent genetic counseling services to Veterans and families
- Review medical records and perform hereditary risk assessments
- Educate patients on inheritance patterns, recurrence risks, and screening options
Required qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Genetic Counselor by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
- Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- No history of suspended, revoked, restricted, or surrendered professional licenses
- Active AHA BLS certification
- Active DEA license
