Job Summary
To support a growing Government & Industry Affairs team, the full-time remote State Licensed Government Affairs Lead will manage external lobbyists, develop relationships with state officials, and translate corporate lobbying strategies into state-specific advocacy campaigns.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary accountability manager for external lobbyists, setting performance expectations and conducting regular assessments
- Translate corporate policy positions into tailored advocacy messaging that aligns with local political dynamics
- Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators and regulatory officials while monitoring relevant legislation affecting social gaming
Required qualifications
- 7-12+ years of experience in state government, lobbying, or legislative affairs, with exposure to multiple state legislatures
- Demonstrated experience managing external vendors or contract lobbyists against defined performance standards
- Working knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, or consumer protection policy areas
- Strong political credibility and established relationships with key government officials in the assigned region
- Experience in a multi-state lobbying role within fast-moving industries such as technology or gaming
