State Licensed Government Affairs Lead

Job Summary

To support the Government & Industry Affairs team, the full-time remote State Licensed Government Affairs Lead will manage external lobbyists, develop relationships with state officials, and translate corporate lobbying strategies into state-specific campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accountability manager for all external lobbyists within the assigned regional portfolio, including performance expectations and assessments
• Translate corporate policy positions into state-specific advocacy messaging tailored to local political dynamics
• Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators, committee staff, and regulatory agencies while monitoring relevant legislation

Required qualifications

• 7-12+ years of experience in state government, lobbying, or legislative affairs with exposure to multiple state legislatures
• Demonstrated experience managing external vendors or contract lobbyists against defined deliverables
• Working knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, or consumer protection policies
• Strong political credibility and established relationships with key government officials in the assigned region
• Experience in a multi-state lobbying role within fast-moving industries such as technology or gaming
