State Licensed Head of Legal

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Head of Legal to build, lead, and scale its legal function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the company's legal function, providing strategic guidance on legal risks and opportunities
• Own commercial contracting including SaaS agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Advise on regulatory compliance, data privacy, and corporate governance matters

Required Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of legal experience, including law firm and in-house roles
• Deep experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
• Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
• Experience in high-growth technology or SaaS companies is preferred
• Ability to manage external legal firms and control legal budgets
