State Licensed Head of Legal

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Head of Legal to oversee legal strategy and execution, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, advising on enterprise strategy and risk management
• Lead legal execution for strategic acquisitions and manage legal readiness for exit
• Oversee negotiation and management of all material commercial agreements and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 10+ years of progressive legal experience with significant in-house responsibility
• Experience managing outside counsel on M&A and financing agreements
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to operate at the executive leadership level
