State Licensed High Voltage Operations Lead

Job Summary

Leading a specialized team of high-voltage technicians, the full-time remote Head of High Voltage Operations Lead will oversee the strategy, technical governance, and operational execution of high-voltage infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable maintenance across a utility-scale fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Direct complex high-voltage maintenance activities and coordinate workforce mobilization for planned outages and emergency recoveries
• Partner with Reliability teams to enhance HV maintenance strategies and serve as the operational authority during engineering reviews
• Develop and maintain the HV Emergency Response strategy and manage critical spare parts readiness for infrastructure components

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required, preferably with a Power Systems emphasis
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred
• 15+ years of experience in high-voltage engineering and operations across systems ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV
• Proven leadership experience in scaling specialized field-based HV maintenance teams
• Deep expertise in SEL relay protection logic and advanced HV diagnostic methodologies
