State Licensed Inpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented State Licensed Inpatient Coding Specialist, this full-time remote position will focus on coding ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes while ensuring a quality coding accuracy of 95% or greater.

Key responsibilities

• Code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS standards
• Maintain a consistent schedule and meet client productivity targets
• Utilize remote connectivity tools and office software for effective communication and data management

Required qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, CIC, COC)
• Minimum of two years' recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting
• Experience with MS DRG Coding Classification Systems
• Technical competency with remote connectivity tools
• Proficiency in office software, including Outlook and Excel
