Job Summary

A company is looking for a Junior Employment Counsel for a 3-month contract in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute redundancy exercises efficiently, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Provide strategic advice on performance management issues, supporting HR and management teams to mitigate risks
• Develop and maintain legal playbooks and guidelines to streamline redundancy and performance management processes

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 4+ years of experience in employment law, focusing on redundancy and performance management issues
• Proven ability to manage and implement redundancy exercises in a compliant and efficient manner
• Experience in developing legal playbooks and managing legal tracking systems is preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR and legal operations
