Job Summary
A company is looking for a Lead Commercial Counsel to serve as a trusted legal partner on various transactions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of high-stakes agreements and design playbooks to increase deal velocity
- Serve as the architect of the legal infrastructure, automating workflows and transforming legal operations into a data-driven engine
- Act as a primary legal advisor to the business, helping embed legal thinking into workflows and advising on regulatory matters
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to a US state bar with 6 to 10+ years of experience in commercial and healthcare counseling
- Proven ability to evaluate, implement, and manage legal technology and build contract workflows for efficiency
- Experience in a startup environment and comfort with ambiguity and evolving legal functions
- Background or strong interest in supporting product, corporate governance, or regulatory aspects of the business
- Excellent legal judgment with a collaborative, business-first communication style
