Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel, Sanctions and Export Control.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on export controls and sanctions to business operations and senior leaders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement the export and sanctions compliance program
• Assist M&A teams with export and sanctions-related due diligence and compliance monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Law degree from a U.S. accredited law school and active membership in a state bar association
• Minimum of 7 years of legal experience in trade matters in a government agency, law firm, or in-house legal department
• Expertise in export controls and sanctions, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations
• Ability to meet federal government security requirements
