State Licensed Legal Counsel
Job Summary
To provide high-level legal administration services, the full-time State Licensed Legal Counsel will manage client registration updates, SEC filings, and board materials while ensuring strong client relationships in a virtual environment.
Key responsibilities
- Supervises and prepares client registration statements and SEC filings
- Leads the preparation and distribution of board and committee materials, attending meetings as necessary
- Mentors associates and maintains regular contact with clients and internal departments to address client needs
Required qualifications
- J.D. and membership (or anticipated membership) in the bar of at least one state
- 5 years of experience as a 1940 Act attorney
- Management and leadership experience
- Knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and relevant securities laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
