State Licensed Legal Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time State Licensed Legal Counsel will serve as a strategic legal advisor in a remote role, focusing on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements while advising teams on compliance and operational matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including customer and vendor contracts
• Advise business leaders on commercial, operational, compliance, and corporate matters while identifying legal risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate business transactions and support corporate governance activities

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
• 5+ years of legal experience in corporate law, particularly in commercial transactions
• Strong understanding of intellectual property, data protection, and privacy laws
• Hands-on experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial transactions
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
