State Licensed Liability Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time remote State Licensed Liability Claims Specialist will review coverage for commercial auto and general liability claims, adjudicate and negotiate settlements, and maintain accurate loss information while mentoring junior specialists.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and assess coverage for commercial auto and general liability claims
• Investigate bodily injury/liability claims and negotiate settlements in accordance with best practices
• Maintain accurate loss information and manage reserves, while training and mentoring junior claims specialists

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred with technical designations such as AIC and CPCU encouraged
• Active state-specific adjuster's license required or ability to obtain within three months of hire
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in adjusting property and casualty claims, with prior agency involvement preferred
• Knowledge of general and auto liability coverages and claims processing procedures
• Ability to learn state insurance regulations and pass state licensing exams
