Job Summary
To support a growing virtual care team, the part-time State Licensed Medical Assistant will manage patient coordination, assist with insurance verification, and ensure accurate documentation while working remotely during designated hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Support high-quality virtual care by assisting providers with patient coordination and follow-up activities
- Monitor patient registration and insurance-related work queues to ensure timely processing and accuracy
- Deliver exceptional service through various communication channels while helping patients navigate care services
Required qualifications:
- Completed an accredited medical assistant or nursing assistant program, or possess an LPN with compact license
- Current national certification in medical assisting from an organization such as AAMA or NHA
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in primary care or urgent care
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Epic
- Strong proficiency in telemedicine and virtual care technologies
