State Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director, Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for behavioral health programs and standardize utilization management policies
• Facilitate medical necessity reviews and assist in the development of educational resources for psychiatric diagnoses
• Track compliance with quality standards and support recruitment and orientation of new psychiatric medical directors

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in psychiatry/behavioral health
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with an active and unrestricted license
• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulatory requirements for medical staff
• Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed organization
