State Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

To support hospital clients nationwide, the full-time State Licensed Medical Director in Concurrent Inpatient Review will perform clinical case reviews, provide recommendations on admission status, and collaborate with attending physicians, all while working remotely on a predictable schedule that includes weekends.

Key responsibilities:

• Utilize clinical expertise to conduct real-time and post-discharge case reviews in hospital EMRs
• Identify areas for process improvements and inefficiencies in patient care
• Interact with attending physicians through secure messaging and calls as necessary

Required qualifications:

• MD or DO degree with strong clinical knowledge
• Active unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state
• Specialization in Adult Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, Nephrology, General Surgery, or Infectious Disease; board certification preferred
• At least 1 year of post-residency acute care adult hospital experience in a U.S. hospital within the past 5 years or relevant physician advisor experience
• Working knowledge of hospitals' EMR systems and computer proficiency
