Job Summary
To ensure clinical integrity and oversight of a telehealth platform, the part-time State Licensed Medical Director will set clinical protocols, supervise providers, and collaborate with teams to build scalable care systems while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the senior clinical authority, accountable for patient care quality and safety
- Develop and refine clinical protocols for weight management and metabolic health
- Recruit, onboard, and supervise providers, ensuring consistency and safety in prescribing
Required qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state licensure preferred)
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinology, obesity medicine)
- 7+ years of clinical practice experience, with leadership or medical director experience
- Experience supervising nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or a distributed provider network
- Knowledge of telehealth regulations, interstate licensure, and controlled substance prescribing
