Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director, Operations, Cardiovascular.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Cardiology Associate Medical Directors for clinical reviews and peer discussions
• Perform daily clinical reviews and provide timely medical determinations based on evidence-based criteria
• Support the development and review of clinical decision guidelines and maintain awareness of regulatory changes

Required Qualifications

• Completed US-based residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology
• Board certification as an MD or DO with a current unrestricted state license
• 5+ years of clinical practice beyond residency/fellowship
• 2+ years of managed care utilization review experience (preferred)
• 1+ years of direct supervision/management experience (preferred)
