Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Licensing Specialist to manage the state licensing process for healthcare providers across all 50 states.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage initial state license applications for RNs, NPs, MDs, and DOs from submission through approval
- Coordinate with providers to collect required documentation and communicate with state medical boards to resolve application issues
- Maintain knowledge of state-specific licensure requirements and manage licensing data in the credentialing system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare licensing, credentialing, or a closely related field
- Hands-on experience processing state licenses for RNs, NPs, MDs, and/or DOs
- Familiarity with multi-state licensing requirements and the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent applications
- Experience with Verifiable or comparable credentialing platforms (preferred)
