State Licensed Mortgage Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled State Licensed Mortgage Underwriter, this remote, full-time position will evaluate and underwrite mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with agency and investor guidelines while collaborating with loan officers and processors to facilitate timely closings.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite mortgage loans for compliance with guidelines
- Review financial documents and deliver clear, accurate credit decisions
- Partner with team members to ensure smooth and timely loan closings
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of recent frontline mortgage underwriting experience
- DE and/or SAR certifications preferred
- Deep knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and Jumbo guidelines
- Proficiency in LOS/AUS platforms such as Encompass, DU, and LPA
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
