Job Summary
To support a growing pediatric metabolic health program, the part-time State Licensed Nurse Practitioner will manage a panel of families by conducting patient intakes, designing individualized care plans, prescribing GLP-1 therapy as appropriate, and coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive patient intake for adolescents, including history and eligibility review, and order appropriate labs
- Design individualized care plans with patients and families, prescribing and managing GLP-1 therapy within a holistic approach
- Coordinate with care team members to ensure cohesive care plans and follow clinical protocols under physician oversight
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (APRN) license in good standing with national board certification appropriate for adolescent care
- Active prescriptive authority and willingness to maintain licensure in the states where the program operates
- Interest in adolescent and obesity medicine, with a willingness to complete onboarding training in weight management and GLP-1 therapy
- Availability of 20-80 hours per month, starting at the lower end and scaling up as the program grows
- Strong written communication skills and comfort working in a distributed telehealth care team under physician oversight
