Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Oncology Data Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 5-10 Oncology Data Specialists, ensuring quality and compliance
• Perform internal quality audits and correct data inconsistencies within five business days
• Assign case work to team members and track progress using Jira to meet deliverable timelines

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Oncology Data Specialist, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Must hold a current, valid Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) credential from the National Cancer Registrars Association
• Expert-level knowledge of CoC data standards, AJCC staging protocols, and SEER standards
• Familiarity with VA-specific registry software and database systems
• Ability to adhere to Federal security and privacy laws and the NCRA Code of Ethics
