Job Summary
To support clinical quality registry services, the full-time remote State Licensed Oncology Data Specialist will screen clinical documents for reportable cancer cases, perform data abstraction for oncology measures, and maintain long-term follow-up data collection for cancer registry patients.
Key responsibilities
- Screen disease indices, pathology reports, and radiology reports to identify reportable cancer cases
- Perform primary data abstraction duties for oncology measures while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain the long-term follow-up process of data collection for all cancer registry patients
Required qualifications
- Oncology Data Specialist credential from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) obtained within 36 months of hire or transfer
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or completion of an NCRA-Accredited Certificate Program, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree
- Registrar specializing in Tumors preferred
