State Licensed Optometrist
Job Summary
Supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the part-time State Licensed Optometrist will conduct psychological exams and complete disability benefits questionnaires (DBQs) remotely, with a minimum commitment of one day per week.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct psychological exams for Veterans and transitioning service members
- Complete disability benefits questionnaires (DBQs) to assist in processing disability claims
- Provide high-quality and timely reports in a respectful environment
Required qualifications
- Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Optometry
- Active, unrestricted state medical license
- Completion of approximately 16 hours of VA training
- Certification valid for 5 years following training completion
