Job Summary
To support the organ donation process, the full-time State Licensed Organ Placement Coordinator will manage organ allocation, surgical recovery, and transportation logistics while working remotely with a requirement of 12-15 days of 24-hour on-call shifts each month.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate organ allocation and communicate offers to local transplant surgeons
- Manage travel arrangements for organ recovery and transport
- Complete all documentation accurately and comply with standard operating procedures and regulations
Required qualifications
- Vocational certificate or degree in Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technologist, or biological sciences
- Licensure or certification in the relevant field of practice
- Previous surgical or medical experience in the organ or tissue donation industry may substitute for education requirements
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree, CPTC, or CPT certification, and prior experience at an organ procurement organization
