State Licensed Organ Placement Coordinator

Job Summary

To support the organ donation process, the full-time State Licensed Organ Placement Coordinator will manage organ allocation, surgical recovery, and transportation logistics while working remotely with a requirement of 12-15 days of 24-hour on-call shifts each month.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate organ allocation and communicate offers to local transplant surgeons
• Manage travel arrangements for organ recovery and transport
• Complete all documentation accurately and comply with standard operating procedures and regulations

Required qualifications

• Vocational certificate or degree in Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technologist, or biological sciences
• Licensure or certification in the relevant field of practice
• Previous surgical or medical experience in the organ or tissue donation industry may substitute for education requirements
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree, CPTC, or CPT certification, and prior experience at an organ procurement organization
