Job Summary
To support a growing utilization management team, the full-time State Licensed Pain Management Physician will serve as a Physician Clinical Reviewer for Interventional Pain Management, reviewing cases and ensuring compliance with medical necessity guidelines in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review cases for medical necessity and provide clinical rationale for appeals
- Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with requesting physicians regarding determinations
- Ensure accurate documentation of communications and participate in ongoing training
Required qualifications
- MD/DO/MBBS degree
- Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or required specialty
- Active Board Certification in Pain Management or relevant specialty
- Minimum of five years' experience in Pain Medicine post-residency (preferred)
- Strong clinical, management, and organizational skills
