State Licensed Personal Financial Counselor

Job Summary

Providing personal financial counseling services remotely, the full-time State Licensed Personal Financial Counselor will assist military service members and their families with financial education, one-on-one counseling, and the coordination of workshops and classes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal financial management services and develop spending plans for service members
• Coordinate and conduct various financial education classes and workshops tailored to military life events
• Utilize virtual counseling tools and maintain communication with installation leadership regarding program effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (associate degree plus 4 years or high school diploma plus 6 years)
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) required
• Ability to pass a Tier 2 investigation and comply with organizational conflict of interest disclosures
