Job Summary
Leading the strategic development of formulary management best practices, the full-time State Licensed Pharmacy Director will oversee clinical policy development, manage pharmacy and medical drug strategies, and ensure compliance with regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational management of formulary and medical drug management teams, focusing on execution and performance enhancement
- Monitor drug development pipelines and educate stakeholders on strategies for managing new and existing drugs
- Collaborate with Clinical Program Managers to develop clinical strategies aimed at improving member health outcomes
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred
- Three (3) years of managed care experience required
- Two (2) years of formulary management experience in Medicare, Marketplace, or Medicaid lines of business required
- Experience participating in or leading a Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee required
- Unrestricted registered pharmacist (RPh) Licensure in state of practice required
