Job Summary

A company is looking for an Initial Review Pharmacy Technician.

Key Responsibilities

Reviews patient information and makes approval recommendations based on clinical criteria
Conducts Program Integrity Audits and assists in the documentation of communications to physicians
Determines eligibility for medication reimbursement and escalates requests when necessary

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required
4 years of pharmacy experience
Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration as per state requirements
Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience without a Bachelor's degree or with a Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in specialty or retail pharmacy and knowledge of medical terminology
