Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Creditors Rights Counsel to provide legal support and strategic guidance on distressed and non-performing real estate loan assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead legal assessments and restructuring of distressed and non-performing loans, enforcing lender rights under applicable law
  • Draft, review, and negotiate workout and enforcement documents, including forbearance and loan modification agreements
  • Coordinate and manage outside counsel in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and litigation matters
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance transactions and loan enforcement matters
  • Deep understanding of real estate loan documentation and creditors' rights
  • J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. State Bar
  • Proven experience managing complex legal matters related to distressed real estate loans
  • Familiarity with loan servicing and loss mitigation strategies
