Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for medications and ensure pre-certification and authorization requirements are met
• Communicate with payers, clinical partners, and patients to facilitate the authorization process and resolve issues
• Document information accurately in patient records and maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulations

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician registration preferred
• 2 or more years of experience in a retail pharmacy, medical billing, or insurance verification
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and Microsoft Word
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Familiarity with the 340B Drug Pricing Program is preferred
