Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Privacy & Data Governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies and procedures for data management
• Lead a cross-functional data governance council to drive data management initiatives
• Provide legal counsel on data use and ensure compliance with global data protection laws

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
• 8+ years of legal experience focused on data privacy, security, and governance
• In-depth knowledge of global data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA
• Experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks
• CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification is a plus
