Job Summary
Leading a commercial legal team, the full-time State Licensed Privacy Counsel will manage complex customer negotiations, oversee the company's privacy program, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Mentor and lead a team in structuring, drafting, and negotiating various commercial agreements
- Drive improvements in commercial operations and develop training materials for compliance
- Own the company's privacy program and ensure compliance with global privacy laws
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 10+ years of relevant legal experience, particularly in-house at a technology or SaaS company
- Substantive experience with privacy and data protection law, with preferred CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting and managing a team of legal professionals
- Extensive experience in negotiating and drafting sophisticated commercial agreements
