State Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Temporary Product Counsel for a top FinTech company, remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal review and analysis on account restrictions, closures, and consumer protection issues, focusing on KYC/KYB/CIP requirements
• Guide product and customer support teams on consumer protection issues, including disputes and identity theft
• Draft and review policies and customer communications related to consumer protection and disputes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience dealing with consumer protection issues
• Expertise in financial services consumer protection laws (KYC/CIP, Regulation Z, Regulation E, UDAAP, UDAP)
• Excellent drafting skills
• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in at least one state bar
• Beneficial experience in fraud and payments issues
