State Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

Serving as the primary legal partner to Product and Engineering teams, the full-time remote Director, Product Counsel will advise on legal and regulatory considerations throughout the product lifecycle, helping to shape AI infrastructure products while managing compliance risks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance to Product and Engineering teams during roadmap planning, design reviews, and product launches
• Advise on privacy, data governance, and regulatory issues related to AI products and services
• Develop scalable legal processes and manage outside counsel relationships as needed

Required qualifications

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience supporting technology products and commercial transactions
• Deep knowledge of privacy and data protection frameworks, including GDPR and CCPA
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, and complex commercial agreements
• Familiarity with export control regulations and open-source software licensing
