State Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing cybersecurity practice, the full-time remote Product & IP Counsel will manage legal issues across product development, including patents, trademarks, and open source, while partnering with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise product and engineering teams on legal matters throughout the product lifecycle, including data use and integrations
• Review and support open source software usage and licensing compliance
• Assist with patent program management, including invention harvesting and trademark portfolio oversight

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of legal experience, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience at a technology company
• JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
• Experience in product counseling, particularly related to AI, privacy, and data use
• Familiarity with patents and open-source licensing
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
