State Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

As a key partner to Product, Engineering, and Marketing, the full-time remote State Licensed Product Counsel will advise on product launches, payments architecture, compliance, and marketing materials while serving as the primary legal resource for ongoing and new programs.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to legal advisor for product and engineering teams on features affecting disclosures and customer experience
• Draft, review, and maintain consumer-facing agreements and regulatory notices from established templates
• Review marketing campaigns for legal compliance, including promotional disclosures and sweepstakes rules

Required qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
• 4-6 years of legal experience in financial services, preferably with credit card or fintech backgrounds
• Familiarity with federal consumer finance regulations and their application to product and marketing
• Experience drafting and reviewing consumer-facing agreements and marketing materials
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver clear legal guidance under tight timelines
