State Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

Driving legal strategy for cloud-based solutions, the full-time remote Senior Product Counsel will provide expert advice on commercial terms, privacy compliance, and the responsible use of AI while collaborating closely with product and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an expert advisor for product management, development, engineering, support, and marketing teams on legal and regulatory issues
• Influence product design and deployment by advising on legal, ethical, and regulatory aspects of emerging technologies
• Draft agreements and lead negotiations for complex technology transactions while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
• 8-12 years of experience in product counseling and technology transactions, preferably in a national law firm or in-house legal department
• Technical knowledge in AI applications, cloud services, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards
• Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001
• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical and legal concepts into actionable guidance
