State Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

To support a fast-paced product organization, the remote contract Product Counsel (Fintech) will provide legal guidance on consumer protection, payments, fraud, and AI product initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on consumer protection issues related to account restrictions, disputes, and fraud
• Counsel Product and cross-functional teams on regulatory and AI-related matters
• Draft and review customer communications, policies, and product guidance

Required qualifications

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 5+ years of product, fintech, or financial services counseling experience
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws, including KYC/CIP and Regulation E
• Experience advising on payments, fraud, disputes, or financial technology products
