Job Summary
State Licensed Project Finance Counsel, a full-time position that involves leading legal work on project-level financings, focusing on tax equity and debt for distributed solar portfolios, while managing outside counsel and collaborating with the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as in-house lead for portfolio tax equity, construction, and term debt financings
- Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents and coordinate with outside tax and finance counsel
- Support multiple financings annually, ensuring conditions and deliverables are met for funding
Required Qualifications
- J.D. and active license in at least one US jurisdiction
- 7-10+ years of significant transaction experience in project finance or structured finance
- Background at a strong law firm or as dedicated project finance counsel at an IPP or similar platform
- Hands-on experience with tax equity and debt financing structures
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex finance documentation
