Job Summary

A company is looking for a Field Medical Director, Radiation Oncologist.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Physician match reviewer in Radiation Oncology for medical necessity guidelines and specialty reviews
• Discuss determinations with requesting physicians and provide clinical rationale for appeals
• Ensure documentation of communications is recorded accurately and timely, and assist in research related to Utilization Management

Required Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS with a minimum of five years of post-residency experience
• Active Board Certification in Radiation Oncology
• Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or required specialty
• Strong clinical, management, and organizational skills
• No history of major disciplinary actions by a state medical board
